 DFG Center of Excellence for E-Learning – Continuation as edu-sharing.net

(DFG is the German Research Foundation)

 

The DFG Center of Excellence for E-Learning develops methods, tutorials and technologies for creating, reusing and exchanging learning and knowledge content. 

To guarantee the sustainability and evolution of CampusContent's project results, we have launched the non-profit-making association edu-sharing.net as an open  community of educational institutions, educators, authors, researchers, educational content providers and other e-learning experts. 

• edu-sharing promotes the formation and co-operation of communities of practice that create learning and knowledge content. 

• As of February 2010, a new version of the edu-sharing technology including the repository network and its development and delivery tools have been launched and made available as open source software.   

• edu-sharing.net member will link the edu-sharing repositories with foreign repositories and thus enable tits communities of practice to participate in a global learning infrastructure.
   
• Together with partners, edu-sharing.net members are developing online tutorials in the community areas of this portal and in public training programs to pass on the methods of content creation and reuse developed over the past few years.
